Tuscany – Fantastic snapshot showing the mastery of Tuscans in dominating their land in the village of Sorano by Enio Bravi
Sorano is a village in the province of Grosseto.
Why a slow tourist should visit
Sorano is within the range of the lesser known locations in Tuscany. Located within the province of Grosseto, it extends on the side of high hills near the south boundaries of Tuscany. It is less than an hour away from the sea side, which means, less than two hours from the beatiful Giglio island. Half an hour awa from Sorano there is the Bolena Lake and with another half an hour the pritty town of Viterbo can be reached. In a couple of hours both Florence and Rome can be also reached making a day out visiting these cities an easy possibility coming back to the quiet and fresh air of the village in the evening.
Sorano is a place to be visited all year round.
